Beautiful

Unforgettable movie that celebrates the value of dignity in life, the steelbook just makes it even better.

The Elephant Man - Steelbook

I only pick up Steelbooks if there's something special I want to add to my collection and this edition fits the bill. I only ever owned a VHS version of this classic but the Blu Ray upgrade, after all these years, was well worth the wait. It looks great on my Panasonic projector, a wonderfully clear image with a nice and crisp soundtrack. Apart from the fact this still brings a tear (or three) to my eyes, the packaging is really smart as well. Highly recommended

Elephant Man

Great product, the steelbook is unique and a great buy, Zavvi makes great steellbooks for collectors and for great movies. This movie is not available in America on blu-ray and if it comes out it will not be on a steelbook! Keep the good work.

Elephant Man - Steelbook

A classic movie beautifully presented in a good looking steelbook. No chance to see the film as yet but looking forward to it. Zavvis now customary quick delivery.

The Elephant Man

Powerful film , beautifully shot in black and white . Both John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins give perfect performances

"My name.......is John Merrick."

What a beautiful film! It really is true, they just CAN'T make them like this anymore - quality acting from quality craftsman. The elephant man needs no introduction to those who know their films - beautifully acted, beautifully shot (in black and white), it tells the story of a severely disfigured man who is discovered by a kind and compassionate doctor who, hoping to help and release him from a life of isolation as a "circus freak", introduces him to the rest of society. Both beautiful and sad, the film is a one of a kind showpiece, on one hand giving us a glimpse of the power of the compassionate man, while on the other showing us the rawness of man's cruelty and intolerance to those who are different, a truely moving film. The Steelbook! Zavvi, you have done it again, a beautiful, gloss finished steelbook, with great artwork front and back. Yet again i had to purchase two of these steelbooks - absolutely stunning design!

Sterling Steelbook

The Elephant man is a very moving film and seeing in Bluray was like seeing it anew. Add to that the high quality finish of the Steelbook feels like I have something special.

The Elephant Man - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook (Ultra Limited Print Run with Gloss Finish. Limited to 2000 Copies.)

Having just purchased the steelbook version of this great movie from zavvi. I just wanted to add the following observation. zavvi lists this as being limited to 2000 copies yet there is no limited edition number on the box to prove this. not sure why. Otherwise great product and well packaged

Unusual Steelbook

This is a difficult one due to the subject matter - I actually prefer the picture on the back of the steel book but this is one of the most unusual steel books around. Get while you can

A Classic

The term Classic is sometime aimed at films that don't deserve it. The Elephant Man film is a bona fide Classic! Filmed in black and white gives it the feal of the 1800's. And the performance by John Hurnt as Joseph Merric Is stunning. So realistic, and heartfelt. The Blu Ray picture and sound is superb! And the Ltd Ed Steelbook is very nicely dawned with Artwork from the Film. A highly recommended film. 5 ******
