From Director WALTER HILL comes a battle of gigantic proportions looming in the neon underground of New York City. The armies of the night number 100,000; they outnumber the police 5 to 1; and tonight they're after the Warriors - a street gang blamed unfairly for a rival gang leader's death. Blu-ray Only!!!
What a joke, there 4k and blu-ray steelbooks out there for the same price and this also doesn't come with both cuts of the movie! Cash crab for sure!

Nice Steelbook… but…
Directors cut of film. Greatly inferior to the Theatrical cut of the movie. Also not being 4K and still this expensive is just too much. The previous Steelbook version is superior.

Should Be Better..
Such an iconic film deserves a special edition 4K release akin to the recent Lost Boys edition. I don’t have a copy of it on Steelbook but I have the previous director’s cut Blu Ray with both versions. But there’s something suss about this one.. why is the disc upside down? Because it’s a reissue in a Steelbook maybe. Think I’ll wait until it’s reduced or the 4K one comes out.

Why? The directors cut sucks!
I’ll keep it simple……No theatrical cut of the movie! No sale! The Australian company ‘Imprint’ released a recent double disc blu ray with The directors cut (that nobody wants) and the Original 1979 theatrical cut. Why can’t we get that here?

A CLASSIC! BUT…..ANOTHER STEELBOOK??!!
This is why i very, very rarely buy any steelbooks these days - numerous “Limited editions” of the same movie. There’s already been a steelbook of this classic, yet……here we again. At this rate, your standard amaray release will be more collectable than the “Limited edition steelbook.” Furthermore, there is likely to be a 4k “Limited edition steelbook” at some point soon. No fun in steelbook collecting anymore……..and no point, either.

Why is this a thing?
There’s already been a limited edition blu ray steelbook with this design, which was also the directors cut. A terrible cut that adds a bizarre opening text crawl ruining the iconic opening, and adds 90s looking comic book style scene transitions throughout. Will it have Blu Ray printed in a red strip actually on the box? Shouldn’t be there, just the cover art. This should be a 4K release of the original cut, or at least both.
