Earl (Fred Ward) and Val (Kevin Bacon) are packed up and ready to leave there small town of Perfection in Nevada. Their plans are soon shattered when just as they are about to leave the ground suddenly starts to rumble violently.

Earl and Val soon come to realise that they won’t be going anywhere when a giant man eating creature from underground begins to wreak havoc and starts to kill off the townspeople one by one. Now the two who were originally going to leave stay and fight the creature and protect their fellow neighbours!
