"The Director’s cut of the feature is approximately 25 minutes longer, incorporating more elements from the graphic novel. This eagerly anticipated version offers more violence and reworked scenes with additional dialogue to give greater depth to this visual masterpiece. Also included are new commentary contributions from Director Zach Snyder and Graphic Novel illustrator Dave Gibbons."

It's a film for the fans and it didn't disappoint; its definitely in my TOP 5
Watchmen Director's Cut should be apart of any movie-lover's collection because it is so different from other superhero movies. It questions our own existence and what will make a difference in the real world.
The theatrical cut of the movie was outstanding, the director´s cut is simply amazing. A small miracle, that such a film even exists. If there is a movie, that is more faithful to the original source, I haven´t seen it. Nothing is watered down here, it´s all there, the sex and the violence. Which is not to say that the movie is just about sex and violence. And at 186 minutes, a brilliant novel (it can´t be called a comic), gets a true treatment. Occasionally, Hollywood gets it just right.
Watchmen Director's Cut is definitely a cut-above the usual Hollywood fare, and its length means that it certainly isn't for the faint-hearted. The plot is constantly twisting, and certainly benefits from a second viewing to pick up all of the various nuances. A film for intellectual super-heroes that leaves the likes of Batman for dust.
