The Green Lantern first appeared in DC Comics ‘All-American Comics #16’ in July 1940. The character has since appeared in television, video games, and motion pictures such as inMartin Campbell’s Green Lantern (2011).

In this version, the story follows a reckless test pilot named Hal Jordan. He is granted a Power Ring, that gives him incredible superpowers, and that inducts him into an intergalactic police force named the Green Lantern Corps. Hal’s strength and willpower are soon put to the test, as he must defend the earth from Parallax, a powerful, evil being who feeds on fear.
