The Beginning Of A New Saga

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is a 2015 American space-opera film produced, co-written, and directed by J.J. Abrams. Produced by Lucasfilm and Bad Robot Productions, the movie was the first instalment in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, a direct follow-up to Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

Thirty years after the Galactic Civil War, the First Order seeks to end the New Republic and the Resistance, following in the steps of the Galactic Empire.

Rey (portrayed by Daisy Ridley), a desert scavenger, wanders into Finn (John Boyega) on Jakku, who has caught some heat from the First Order. He is accompanied by BB-8, a droid carrying intel on the location of the missing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

Teaming up, Rey and Finn escape from the First Order onboard the iconic Millennium Falcon. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca track down their old starship, joining this motley group.

Rey, slowly coming to grips with the extent of her Jedi powers, starts working with the Resistance and sets out on her own journey in a search of Luke Skywalker.
