No One Should Be Alone On Christmas

Created by the critically acclaimed author Dr. Seuss, our green friend first appeared in How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1957), a popular children’s book. A pot-bellied creature with a mean personality, the eponymous character lives on a cliff and watches over the cheerful folk of Whoville with disdain. He especially despises Christmas, and the story follows him as he attempts to destroy the holiday once and for all.

In 2000, a live-action film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s classic was released. Jim Carrey took on the role of the revenge-seeking Grinch, who makes his way down the mountain with Max (his dog sidekick) and sneaks into every house on Christmas Eve to steal from the Whos. However, he finds himself face to face with the adorable Cindy-Lou Who (Taylor Momsen), and she starts to change the Grinch for the better.

Another adaptation was released in 2018, translating the story to animated format. In this film, Benedict Cumberbatch voiced the character alongside Cameron Seely as Cindy-Lou Who.
