Buxom vamp Elvira is planning to open a show in Las Vegas, for which she requires $50,000, when she learns of her great aunt Maud's demise. She travels to Maud's small home town, where it transpires that Elvira has inherited a run-down house, a poodle and a cookery book. Before she can take this in, Elvira finds herself accused of witchcraft by the locals, only to discover that there is indeed a dark force at work in the town.

I first saw this film years ago and can't understand why it doesn't appear on television more often which is why I am buying a copy. There is something for everyone in it. It is a little risqué in parts but so funny. Although quite old because of the setting it doesn't stand out as much as some other old films. At the price here you can't fail, even if it only gets watched at the same time as the rocky horror picture show. A definite classic.
