    2009/10 FA Cup Final – Chelsea 1 – 0 Portsmouth

One of the most extraordinary FA Cup Finals in recent years finally saw Chelsea emerge victorious with a tight 1-0 victory over Portsmouth. But the score line doesn’t tell the story of what was a dramatic afternoon which saw the Blues hit the woodwork five times in the first half alone and both sides miss a penalty before Didier Drogba scored the crucial goal.

Chelsea went into the final as hot favourites to win the game and seal an historic League and Cup double. Early Chelsea dominance seemed to confirm this feeling but despite plenty of possession chance after chance went begging. Inspired goalkeeping from David James and the woodwork kept denying the Blues and the sides went in level at the break with everything to play for.

After the interval Portsmouth started to get back into the game and a massive shock looked on the cards when they were awarded a penalty midway through the second half. But Petr Cech came to the rescue saving from Kevin-Prince Boateng and less than two minutes later Chelsea had scored from a Drogba free kick.

Despite a late penalty miss from Frank Lampard the Blues held their nerve to seal a memorable Cup triumph and the fans could start their celebrations!

Watch the full match all over again and enjoy brilliant DVD extras including top 10 Goals, the Road to Wembley, an FA Cup Quiz and much, much more!!
