I recently bought this for my sister for her birthday and we sat down and watched it the other night. It's not the greatest movie in the world but I don't think that was the point. The movie is based around two high school jocks Nick Brady (Eric Christian Olsen) and Shawn Colfax (Nicholas D'Agosto). They are the playboy football stars of their school, sleeping with all the ladies that come their way. During a school bonfire they overhear some of the cheerleaders talking about cheer camp and how there's 300 girls wanting it as much as they do (winning the competition but we all know teenage boys minds) The two hatch a plan to ditch football camp and go to cheer camp instead, when they get there the story really starts. Whilst at cheer camp, romance blossoms between the characters and the boys find out there's more to cheerleading than just routines and pom poms. The acting in this film is one of the best Ive seen in a while for a film of this genre. The plot at times can be quite weak with predictable moments but most teen high school comedies are. The film is aimed more at teenagers rather than older people and is probably best watched amongst a group of friends to make the most out of its comedy worth.
