A love story in reverse: How I Met Your Mother is a fresh new comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor - Six Feet Under) and how he fell in love. When Ted's best friends Marshall (Jason Segel - CSI) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan - Buffy/American Pie) decide to tie the knot, it sparks the search for his own Miss Right. Helping him in his quest is his bar-hopping "wing-man" Barney (Neil Patrick Harris - Doogie Howser), a confirmed bachelor with plenty of wild schemes for picking up women. Ted's sights are set on the charming and independent Robin (Cobie Smulders - The L Word), but destiny may have something different in mind. Told through a series of flashbacks, Ted recalls his single days, the highs and lows of dating and the search for true love.

After watching this with my friends we have been left in hysterics , we watch it as a replacement for "that 70's show" and "friends" however it is even funnier ,the cast is great and plot line surprisingly addictive to keep up with would recommend to all ages looking for a laugh.

You don't need much information about the show itself: If you haven't seen it - watch it! If you're still looking for a "Friends" substitute - watch it! If you didn't like "Friends" - still watch it, it's even better at some stages! If you're a TV series collector - please, do not buy this! "How I met your mother" was broadcast in a fine 16:9 picture on US TV, starting from Season 1. This DVD on the other hand, contains all Season 1 episodes cut down to prehistoric 4:3 :( If you just want to watch and forget it again, you can buy this. If you're a collector or a big fan of the show, you should really wait for either a Blu-ray release or a DVD re-release, that will hopefully happen some day.
