Based on the bestselling novels of Andrea Camilleri, Commissario Salvo Montalbano operates within Italy's precarious justice system, immersed in a world of murder, betrayal, temptation and politics - the latter proving as dangerous as any of the former. Solving crimes in the town of Vigata, balancing his relationship with girlfriend Livia, often failing to resist the seductive qualities of fine Italian food, Luca Zingaretti is Inspector Montalbano.

Inspector Montalbano: Collection 1 is a superb series about the Sicilian policeman, Commissario Salvo Montalbanoas, created by writer Andrea Camilleri. This series follows the Inspector and his staff through the crimes committed in the fictional town of Vigata. It's a very entertaining way to brush up on the Italian language too.

Excellent value, 4 episodes of this quirky Italian police drama, Inspector Montalbano set in Sicily. Intriguing humour and interesting characterisation, combined with stunning Mediterranean scenery. A perfect escape from British weather!
