It's witch meets world, as teenage Kiki chooses to live on her own in a new town, using her magical powers to get by. But Kiki is poor with potions and second-rate at spells - instead, she sets up a courier service, using her broomstick to deliver everything from pies to pets. At first with only her sarcastic cat Jiji for company, she soon discovers that she has more friends than she ever thought possible.

Adapted by Hayao Miyazaki from the children's book by Eiko Kadono, Kiki's Delivery Service is one of the best loved animated features in Japan and elsewhere. Featuring the voices of Kirsten Dunst, Janeane Garofalo and Debbie Reynolds, Kiki's Delivery Service is superb entertainment from start to finish.

Another excellent and beautifully drawn anime movie from Hayao Miyazaki the maker of other such classic movies as Princess Mononoke, Spirted Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo.

A heartwarming tale of a trainee Witch's mandatory year away from here rural living parents to the bright lights of a large coastal city. I'm a fan of most Ghibli movies & I have a few left to see. This was the most recent in my to watch list & it didn't disappoint. Certainly not my favourite piece that the studio has produced but certainly shares the magic that the greatest have had at their core. If you like their other work or just want a wonderful coming of age tale to whisk you away for a couple of hours, Kiki is a good way to spend your cash.
