Laputa: Castle In The Sky [Special Edition]
Laputa: Castle In The Sky [Special Edition]
  • Description

Orphan Pazu's life is changed when one day the beautiful Sheeta literally falls out of the sky. Round her neck she wears a glowing crystal, a relic of the mighty Levitation Stones that once kept ancient cities floating in the air. Caught up in a race between sky pirates and sinister government agents, Pazu and Sheeta go in search of Laputa, the last of the fabled castles in the sky.

Hayao Miyazaki's homage to Jules Verne and Jonathan Swift, Castle in the Sky was the first feature film from the now legendary Studio Ghibli. Combining the Japanese master director's twin obsessions of eco-thriller and aerial escapades, its combination of a treasure hunt and a fight against evil make for an unforgettable adventure.

Featuring the voices of Anna Paquin, James Van Der Beek and Mark Hamill.

    Special Features:

    • Complete Feature Length Storyboards (Alternative Angle).
    • Original Japanese Trailers.
    • Studio Ghibli trailer reel.
    • Textless Opening and Closing Credits.
    • The History of 'Castle in the Sky'.

Laputa Castle in the sky review

Laputa: Castle In The Sky transports you to a world that you can only dream of. So fast paced, yet so explanatory, this anime will leave you feeling much younger again like a little kid. Laputa: Castle In The Sky is a real adventure about finding the lost civilization that no one believes in anymore. That is no one, but a young boy. The drawings are mind blowing and mixed with an amazing soundtrack this anime will give something you will always remember. It feels like it is part of you, part of your childhood. For that reason it is worth watching and checking out. Truly one of the best works of Hayao Miyazaki.
