    A South London crew battle rap their North London rivals in order to obtain supremacy in the city. However, the leader of the South London crew falls for a woman who is involved with the rival collective. South London rap collective The Motion Crew are led by DJ Danny "D-Biz" Lewis, who views rap music and his crew as his life. The Motion Crew are engaged in battle raps with their hated North London rivals--the Hard Cash Crew-in order to prove their superiority. Danny ends up falling for the gorgeous Carmen. However, when he finds out that she is related to a member of The Motion Crew, a huge strain is put on their relationship and their lives. Filmed predominantly in Brixton, Life and Lyrics focuses on the exciting, vibrant and inventive world of London battle rapping. Following his debut in the acclaimed Bullet Boy, former So Solid Crew member Ashley Walters puts in another strong performance as Danny.
