Great DVD and at a great price my little boy is very happy now thanks to the Marvel Avengers Assemble DVD.
I bought Marvel Avengers Assemble for my teenage daughter who loves the film. It was a really good price and very quick delivery.
Marvel Avengers Assemble: all I can say... amazing, action and comedy in one.
Marvel Avengers Assemble is one of the best films I have watched. The graphics are very good and it's very well made.
The film is still as awesome as it was in the cinema, absolutely breathtaking, and if it was a book I'd describe it as un-put-down-able! But it's a shame about the extras, or lack thereof! There is only one short 'making of' which is a real shame as there is potential for more! Still happy though as the film is amazing!
First off, let me tell you I am a HUGE comic book fan, so although people may think I'm being biased, I'm not, this is just a great movie! Avengers is the culmination of the previous marvel films (Iron Man 1+2, Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America). It's directed and written by Joss Whedon and is honestly the most fun comic book movie to watch. You may find The Dark Knight or other comic book movies as better films, but not as entertaining over a billion dollars worldwide is no small feat, it deserves every plaudit it gets. A little about the movie, all the heroes have their chances to shine (Except maybe Hawkeye :( , but that may be because he only had the brief appearance in Thor, so the studio wanted to bring him in slowly). The Hulk steals the show and Loki (Tom Hiddleston)is amazing as always. I don't know why I'm even writing this review, you and I know that if you've seen it, you will buy it.
brilliant, I hope they do another film
Everything you would want from a superhero film; excellent battles, comedy, drama, brilliant acting talent. Also Black Widow here is a perfect female character little girls can look up to.
Marvel Avengers Assemble is an excellent film. It has fantastic special effects and a great script. For a comic book film with a lot of heroes in it, each get some killer lines and the Hulk has never been better. Arguably the best action film of Summer 2012.
I may be what some people would call a little obsessed, but I went to see The Avengers in the cinema twice and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD. It wasn't just the popcorn fumes messing with my mind, watching it at home still confirmed in my mind that this is the greatest comic book/action/superhero film ever, and my favourite film ever! The only thing that was a little disappointing is that there is only one special feature.
For fans, the road from the first Iron Man film in 2008 to Avengers Assemble in 2012 was an almost unbearably long one. The wait was more than worth it. Director Joss Whedon manages to give each character their big moment without allowing any to overshadow the group. Of course, big characters need big actors to portray them, and I would go as far to say here they are flawless. Newcomer to the franchise, Mark Ruffalo, makes an even better Bruce Banner than predecessors Eric Bana and Ed Norton, while Downey Jr, Hemsworth and Evans effortlessly slip back into the roles of Ironman, Thor and Captain America respectively. The cast, the story and the special effects are all perfect resulting in a movie that will go down as a classic of this or indeed any genre.
