Monk - Season 8
  • Description

Former police detective Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) has suffered from intensified obsessive- compulsive disorder and a variety of phobias since the murder of his wife, Trudy, in 1997. Despite his photographic memory and his amazing ability to piece tiny clues together, he is now on psychiatric leave from the San Francisco Police Department. Aided by his friend and practical nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), Monk works as a freelance detective/consultant, hoping to convince his former boss, Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine), to allow him to return to the force. Stottlemeyer wavers between admiration for Monk and annoyance at his eccentricities. Moreover, he harbors serious doubts about the wisdom of allowing Monk to carry a gun. Stottlemeyer's second-in-command, Lieutenant Disher (Jason Gray-Stanford), also has his doubts about Monk but seems to be developing a reluctant admiration for the "defective detective...

Becoming a habit.

Having watched series one through six of this superb series, I was rather sad to know I was about to watch Monk - Season 8, which is the last series. It was safe and simple to anticipate the outcome, however that did not detract from the sheer pleasure of watching this amazing program. It was from start to conclusion addictive viewing. If you like crime detection combined with humour and a hint of sadness, indeed you would be hard pressed not to be touched by the emotional highs of this final series. For me it pressed all the correct buttons. I would heartily recommend this to anyone.

Monk - Season 8

Monk - Season 8 is an excellent product at a fantastic price, although delivery was rather slow.

brilliant ending to a great popular series , a real must for every monk fan .

Farwell Monk

The final season of Monk is funny and sad you finally discover who killed Monk's wife in a double episode after 8 years Monk is no more

Monk season 8

I love Monk !!! Tony Shalhoub is outstanding as Adrian Monk, who would have thought that a detective with OCD would be the best one there is. It's my favourite tv series. I saw one episode on tv, then brought series 1-6, finished that, brought series 7, finished that, and now I have series 8. For £7.85 it is an absolute must buy. I've only seen two episodes from this series so far but both have delivered typical Monk that I have watched and enjoyed for so long. I cannot wait until the climatic two part episodes that will end this boxset of. But I'm also not as its the last ever Monk there will be :(
