Beautifully animated and featuring an all-star cast voiced by Christopher Plummer, the late Lynn Redgrave and Isabella Rossellini. A touching, bittersweet adaptation of the late British author J. R. Ackerley’s enduring memoir, exploring the 16-year relationship with his adopted Alsatian bitch, Tulip. A profound and subtle mediation on the strangeness that lies at the heart of all relationships. If you own or have owned a dog you will appreciate every minute of this DVD. Be warned though that there is a great deal of information on Tulip's bodily functions and her owners attempts to find her a mate! The animation is very well drawn and the style of it matches the story perfectly. Christopher Plummer narrates it very well indeed and really brings the character to life.
