The new police recruits, call them slobs, call them jerks, call them gross, just don't call them when you're in trouble!
The Police Academy adopts a completely open admissions policy, hence a large number of unemployable social misfits promptly enrol. This hilarious motley crew are the last people you would want as upholders of the law.

not a lot of bonuses, but a couple of interesting featurettes. i remembered the first film for seeing it a lot of times on tv when i was a kid, and always found it funny. with this boxset, i was able to rewatch the first 4 films, and see for the first time the 3 others they made later on. it tends to be more of the same, but if like me you enjoy "stupid" comedies from the 80's, in which the only concern was to make people laugh, with a long lost freedom of expression, then you'll enjoy it a lot.

Born in 86, I was brought up on classic 80/90s comedies, such as Uncle Buck, the Home Alone series and of course the brilliant Police Academy. You can easily forget how much these old movies can make you laugh. Bringing you the best of slapstick style comedy and one liners, it's great to see such memorable characters as Mahoney, Tackleberry, and of course Zed. The DVD extras included are a brilliant insight into how the Police Academy films were made, featuring interviews with the directors, actors, and stunt doubles of the film. A must buy for any fan, perfect viewing.
