This is a great Compilation, all the Great episodes here in one place. The Wonderful Jeremy Brett excels himself in this Series. The Dr Watson cast change is here also, they both are so similar actors you hardly notice. In my view the best Holmes series to Date. Superb..
This is an outstanding collection of the Arthur Conan Doyle stories.Unfortunately Jeremy Brett was not able to complete all of the canon, but what a fantastic legacy he has left us.Assisted by two actors playing the part of Doctor Watson,Brett gives a great memorable performance as Sherlock Holmes.
This is THE Sherlock Holmes series to watch good classy acting .A brilliant Jeremy Brett his interpratation fantastic . the filming angles good takes you right into the victorian era . A definate to buy!!
First off Zavvi's price is amazing! Do yourself a favor and buy this set! He best Sherlock Holmes hands down. The plots in these stories are so, so good. This set has every single episode starting in 1984. 16 disks of pure goodness! 5/5 stars My new favorite boxed set
What a brilliant set of DVD's. Jeremy Brett plays Sherlock to a tee and is on a par with the original Sherlock Basil Rathbone,
It's not often that you find the perfect gift, and I would not normally buy so early but when I found the box set of Sherlock dvds that my sister (a fan) has been looking for and at this good a price I could not say no. Now I just need to keep them safe and out of her sight for the next eight months or so. They arrived really fast and were well packed which is always good, and look perfect - no bent corners on the box or damage to the plastic wrap. The price was very good for the dvds and unlike some places that I have shopped at the p&p didn't jump up the price but was really good. This was the first time that I have shopped with Zavvi and it has been a good one, and I look forwards to shopping again next time.
Excellent service and well packaged, arrived just in time for Christmas, bought as a present. From watching many of the original TV programmes, the late Jeremy Brett was Sherlock Holmes, he portrayed the character excellently. Although this was a present, I am now intending to purchase a copy of this myself - a well worth addition to any collection if you like this type of thing.
Jeremy Brett. What more can I say, he is the best Sherlock Holmes there has ever been. This box set for this price is un believable definitely worth buying even if your not a Sherlock Holmes fan you will be after watching this. A definite buy!!!!!
