St Trinians II

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

St Trinians 2 - The Legend Of Frittons Gold is a more entertaining effort than the first one. Sharper humour, better writing, and the feeling that some money has been put into the budget. Neither film captures the fun and mayhem of the more innocent monochrome days, despite one very heavy slapstick scene which does fail to pay homage to those monochrome girls who are now grannies themselves! But overall, it was a better film, although I think it would be a struggle to get a third out of the series. Those of us of a certain age will remember the original terrors and will wish that creativity flourished - or maybe that is just this reviewer's age showing? But modest outlay well spent... no regrets.
