The Comic Strip is a series of one off or two off half hour comedy specials, taking the absolute tinkle out of everything that was fair game in the eighties, including The Famous Five, a rock-umentry of a fictitious heavy metal band, university students and so on. These shows were filmed between 1983 and 1985 and you can see the very young and fresh faces of some of the finest English comedians around today including Rik Mayell, Adrian Edmondson, Nigel Planner, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. This is a must see for anyone who liked the Young Ones, Bottom etc. Clearly Channel 4 had a very limited budget when these were made so the production values add to the comedy.
So nice to see these again! They have me literally rolling around on the floor in laughter in some places. Recommended to lift your mood.

Superb collection of DVDs, got these on the back of the new Channel 4 Five go to Rehab and had forgot how good they were. Zavvi were by far the best price on the internet, quick delivery and well packed
