Clearly a dodgy batch, the sound is out of sync and the actors / actresses all sound like they're on helium!!

I never got to grips with the UK original version of the office - maybe it reminded me of too many of my own workplaces. The US version reduces the nastiness and makes it slightly more surreal. Steve Carell displays a pathos that Ricky Gervais could not and so makes his gaffs and outrageous blunders more forgiveable, a manager trying and failing to be the 'best manager ever' that he belives he is rather than an arrogant bully. The first season has the actors speaking ridiculously quickly for the first couple of episodes but it does settle down. If you love situational humour rather than gag-based humour you might well like this.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOX SET!!! It is absolutely terrible - bought as a gift and opened today and what a joke!! Everyone sounds like they're a helium this is NOT legit and a waste of your money. DO NOT BUY!! The audio is completely messed up. What a joke. Will be getting a refund.

Now that it's not on Netflix we'll probably melt these discs watching them so much. But they didn't cost much (thanks Zavvi), so we'll just buy more. - Michael Scarn

The Office is a genuinely funny television show with humor for everyone. Whether you have experience working in an office or not, the characters are relatable in so many ways. This is a great, heartwarming show for everyone to enjoy.

This has to be one of my top 5 all time best dvd's just love it

A very good deal on an excellent box set. Have already got through season 1 and the laughs keep on coming. Very happy with the price. A pity the outer box was a little ripped down one of the corners. Other than that, I would highly recommend.
