If you liked the book you'll love the film

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Fans of the Twilight books will not be disappointed because this film is an exact replica of the book of the same name. From the big wedding scene (or perhaps I should say scenes) to the pregnancy and birth, everything follows the book almost as though it was written as a screenplay. My only criticisms of this film are exactly the same as my problem with the earlier movies in the same saga. R Patz is not flawless enough to be Edward, Kristen is too glamorous to play Bella and the werewolves look more like bears than wolves. I'm obviously not in the target audience (which I imagine is teenage girls) and I only read the books and watched the movies because I wanted to be sure I knew what my own teenage girls were reading / seeing. The Twilight series is a bit of lightweight entertainment, it's not at all scary and is perfectly watchable. This particular movie sets the scene nicely for the final movie in the series although I think you would need to have either read or seen the earlier books / movies to understand some of the relationships in this one.

Twilight Breaking Dawn is a brilliant film. My only complaint is that it took nearly 3 weeks for it to come to me!! It's a good job it wasn't required as a birthday present!
