This Island Earth tells the story of a scientist who unwittingly gets drawn into the plans of an alien race, whose own planet is being destroyed in an interplanetary war to invade and colonise Earth. The aliens seem friendly and willing to share their knowledge at first. The plot is simple, but for anyone interested in sci-fi films it shouldn't be missed.
This Island Earth is an absolute classic sci-fi movie. Great storyline that still holds well today. Worthy of a remake like some of the othes from the best era of this genre (The Day The Earth Stood Still for example). I enjoyed watching it as much as I did the first time many, many years ago. Great value too.
