Simmering with an unnerving blend of eroticism and cruel certainty, Urbania is a psychological funhouse of moody cityscapes and taboo urban myths. Dazzling blue-eyed Charlie (Dan Futterman), a lost soul with a haunting past, wanders the dark streets of nocturnal New York City looking for a mysterious and handsome stranger he lusts and loathes. Stalking the night with both pent-up anger and bubbling sexual desire, he encounters kidney thieves, arrogant pickups, and dying friends (Alan Cummings). Never completely sure of what is real or imagined; Charlie spirals into frenzy, desperate to find the answers to his puzzling life.
