The Clone Wars Continued

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is a spin-off and sequel to The Clone Wars, starring the eponymous Bad Batch (also known as Clone Force 99). The show picks up after the events of Order 66 (which took place during Revenge Of The Sith), following the Bad Batch as they attempt to find their path as mercenaries in a galaxy controlled by the Galactic Empire.

Conceptualised by George Lucas, Clone Force 99 were first introduced in the seventh and final season of The Clone Wars. The team is made up of clone troopers with genetic mutations: Hunter (enhanced sensory abilities), Crosshair (enhanced eyesight and marksmanship), Wrecker (enhanced strength), and Tech (enhanced intelligence). Following the Battle Of Anaxes, clone trooper Echo joined their ranks — having been turned into a cyborg by the Separatists.

Unlike their fellow clones, most of the Bad Batch’s inhibitor chips were rendered ineffective during Order 66 due to their physical differences. As such, all except Crosshair were able to disobey the command to turn on the Jedi.
