Officially Licensed Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 Throat Mic Communicator Headset (Call Of Duty)

I recently received the throat communicator. I bought it because I had previously found that the standard headset was uncomfortable after an hour of playing. The throat communicator sits comfortably and I found that I had forgotten I was even wearing it! My friend who I was playing with over live said he couldn't tell any difference. I am really happy with this product. There are two minor flaws, but they aren't enough to lose the product a star. The jack pin to the controller isn't as well built as the xbox headset. It can come out easily and is a bit ropey when moved. But as long as you don't start throwing the controller around while you play, you won't notice it. The other minor flaw is the sound through the ear piece. My friends voice sounded slightly tinny and wasn't a smooth as the xbox headset, but after a few minutes of playing I didn't notice. This is a brilliant produict with a few flaws that aren't noticeable to the average gamer like me.

Mike Foxtrot over and out ...

This is a good replacement for the standard wired 360 mic / headset. It's pretty comfortable in use and the volume levels / clarity from the earbud are good. To get the best mic performance you need to wear it quite low down on your throat (near to your larynx I guess) - if you're the kind of player who's got a neck like a treetrunk you might find it a bit snug. The in-line volume / mute control is ok, but the switch for the mute is tiny. All in all a decent option if you want something a bit better than the MS standard mic. Your partner is still likely to laugh at you wearing it though.
