As the title states, the sound and mic quality on the Turtle Beach: X42 Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Surround Sound is great but there's next to no padding on the headband, which for me makes it very uncomfortable and hurts my head.
I'm very happy with the Turtle Beach: X42 Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Surround Sound. The sound is brilliant, wireless connection is great and there was no problems with ordering from Zavvi.
This Turtle Beach: X42 Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Surround Sound is my first headset, and I'm not disappointed. Everything works just like it should. The connection is simple and fast, without any problems. The quality of workmanship is really good. The in-game sounds are nice and clear. I've got this headset especially for BF3. Surprisingly, I can hear more sounds than from regular speakers. The X42 allows you to adjust some options like surround angles or bass/treble boost, so you can configure it according to your personal preferences. The only thing that sometimes bothers me is the chat volume control panel. It is mounted too low on the cord. It should be mounted a little higher.

I got this Turtle Beach: X42 Xbox 360 Wireless Headset Surround Sound as a present from my girlfriend. I had the X11 headset before and I have to say the X42 is in a different league. The sound is a lot better and crisper, the look and even the weight is also a lot better. Of course the best bit is the fact it's wireless and very easy to set up and use.

I went in buying these Turtle Beach: X42 Headset knowing what they were capable of but unsure with the wide variety of choices. There is no doubting that the quality is great. It can be a bit fiddly to set up and get going but it's worth it. The voice chat requires a wire I was expecting it too be completely wireless but after a while of using the headset I probably prefer plugging in the cable instead of not knowing whether people can hear me or not. All-in-all this is a quality item at a very reasonable price.
