Tales of Monkey Island brings Guybrush Threepwood back to PC screens. While explosively stripping the evil pirate LeChuck of his demonic mojo, Guybrush inadvertently infects the entire Caribbean with the arch-fiend's expelled voodoo, which threatens to transform buccaneers into unruly pirate monsters. Pursued by a notorious cut-throat pirate hunter  and a creepy French physician  who believes that Guybrush's eerily-infected hand holds the secret of eternal life, Threepwood sails the seven seas in search of La Esponja Grande, a legendary sea sponge with unparalleled voodoo exfoliating abilities. But little does Guybrush know, his quest is part of a larger, more sinister plot, and good and evil are not always as they seem…

Refreshingly Monkey

After a long nail grinding wait in 2009 Telltale game finally took pity of adventure gamers out there and began the continuation of the Monkey Island series. Guybrush, Elaine and LeChuck come roaring back in eye pleasing 3D, as opposed to the last instalment of the series - MI4, which was less than graphically appealing. The interface is a far cry from it's predecessor, as the mouse takes the central role once again. Although perhaps the new format of producing adventure games, in episodes over a period of time might not be that good for the overall atmosphere, it does divide the game into bite sized chunks. And while it may be possible to play the game without prior knowledge of the series, playing all the prequels (the really older ones were just recently upgraded in graphics and sound, so give those a try too) is highly recommended. Why? Because they're good, funny and classics. And I hope this one will prove the same. Also note, it comes in a nice box full of goodies - Booty, if you will.
