An original and thought provoking storyline make Eternal Sonata an involving, well-presented role playing game.
Chopin was a classical composer who died at 39 from tuberculosis, and the entire storyline takes place in the last three hours of his life as he falls into a mesmerizing dream world. In this world he meets a young boy who must fight to save a girl from a terrible fate, while discovering the heavenly light that shines from everyone. Players must take control of Chopin and nine other characters as they travel this fantasy realm trying to save the girl.
Gameplay is like that of a typical RPG, with an innovative battle system that combines free-roaming and turn-based combat. As the world is travelled, items will be found and bought and sold in shops, as well as photographs taken in battle by the character Beat. Light and Dark are big factors in the game and enemies will change depending on what environment they are in, causing players to change their tactics if they wish to be successful.
The sad storyline, as well as the many pieces of Chopin’s work featured throughout the story, make Eternal Sonata a dramatic and captivating game.
With gorgeous next gen visuals and style, a unique battle system , and a captivating story, Eternal Sonata promises to give Xbox360 fans the RPG they've been waiting for.
On his deathbed, Chopin, the famous composer, drifts between this life and the next. In his dreams, happenstance encounters with a young girl facing a terrible destiny and the boy who will fight to save her, leads to Chopin's discovery of the light that shines in each of us in this enduring tale of good and evil, love and betrayal.

Eternal Sonata
A charming game that has its heart in the right place, but fumbles occasionally due to the combat system being a bit clunky and the voice work being a bit rough.

Verry good rpg
Eternal Sonata is a light-hearted RPG game suitable for those who are new to this genre.Great graphic, music and storyline. Packed with great cel-shaded graphic, music and game-play mechanics, Eternal Sonata is a pleasing change of pace compared to other RPG titles. What suprised me with the game was its unique battle system. What sounds very simple actually ends up having many subtle elements leading to you really needing to think your battle strategy throught as you play. Absolutely love this game and it's quickly joining Valkyria Chronicles as one of my favorite on the PS3. I recommend for someone who wants to look for a different kind of RPG game .

eternal sonata one of the best next gen jrpgs
Amazing! That was the first word that came out of my mouth when I finished the game. An extraordinary game with unique gameplay, superb graphics, excellent music and a very good story. The visuals are stunning whenever a cut scene takes place and beautiful colours and anime style character models finish the whole image. This game is a game that you will always remember!
