I have started playing God of War III and Ascention and when i finished them,i could not resist to play the first and the second episode of this excellent game. A must have Collection ! Kratos is the best ! Enjoy !!!!!!!!
Having never really played the original games, I was interested to see what I'd missed out on so I picked this up. It seemed like a good bargain for the price. The gameplay is great, however the HD remastering does leave a little to be desired in terms of graphics. It's definitely an improvement from the PS2 gen, but it's not quite on par with most other PS3 titles.
I am very happy with SOE´s decision by making HD ports of PS2 and PSP games because I had not played GOW I and II on the PS2. The acion gameplay is awesome with Greek mythology, perfect combo.

God of War HD Collection Volume I: Essentials is an amazing price for two modern classics in gaming. They're brilliant games that have tons of re-playability. The updated graphics help bring these games on par with many new releases in terms of graphic quality as well.

God of War HD Collection Volume I is just great. It's a must have game and it's a game that your collection shouldn't be without.
God of War HD Collection Volume I: Essentials are considered the best games on ps2 and will go down in history. SCEA Santa Monica Studio put a lot of effort and money into these games, and they always feared that the next GOW game will not be as successful as its prequel. Of course the sequel was even better and brought many new experiences. The graphics of these 2 games were considered top-notch at the time. It's interesting how dynamics, lighting, designs etc. improve with each new game. The one-sided story is simple but intriguing, so that players may easily follow. Game play is fast paced and doesn't differ between the 2 games. They tried to make it feel the same, that's why they didn't make any bigger changes to it. I would recommend the game to those who like action/violence 3rd person games, and love solving puzzles.
