The unique fantasy adventure is developed by LEVEL-5, the studio behind the smash hits Dragon Quest VIII and IX, and the Professor Layton series. For the game’s characters and animations, LEVEL-5 collaborated with the legendary Studio Ghibli, the team responsible for countless anime masterpieces including My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away. The in-game music comes from the hand of Joe Hisaishi, the composer of the scores to over 100 films including many of Studio Ghibli’s greatest productions.
The epic title is being localised with English or the original Japanese voiceover, with English subtitles included as an option.
Features:
- An RPG born from the talent of two legendary studios: Ni no Kuni combines the renowned LEVEL-5 video game studio with the animation of the world class team at Studio Ghibli, and the music of the equally legendary Joe Hisaishi, composer on many Ghibli movies. The result is a RPG which expertly fuses these formidable talents.
- A visually stunning game: During their travels with Oliver, players will be able to immerse themselves in a series of incredible environments, landscapes and cities, as if they were entering an animated movie universe inside a video game.
- All the ingredients of a RPG and much more: LEVEL-5’s mastery of the genre results in a game that offers the best of a RPG and more: a free roaming map, varied transportation systems, a tactical yet easy to handle combat system and a myriad of secondary quests, mini-games and bonuses.
- A captivating story with anime-like 3D cut-scenes: The player enters the magical universe of Ni no Kuni and begins the journey with Oliver, meeting all kinds of people on the way. Yoshiyuki Momose from Studio Ghibli supervised the storyboards for the in-game 3D cut-scenes and provided stage directions for the motion capture sequences, bringing all his expertise from the animation world to bear on the game’s story.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (Wizard's Edition)
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (Wizard's Edition) is an excellent game. It has an immersive story that makes the player want to know what happens next. The cartoon-y graphics and beautiful soundtrack also help add to the game's appeal. Luckily, for players like myself, there is tonnes to do!

JRPG starts strong in 2013
In my opinion this jrpg is one of the best out there if you combine the soundtrack, story, beautiful environment, game play and voice acting especially the English voice of Drippy. The wizard edition of Ni No Kuni contains a must have copy of The Wizards Companion which is more than a one to one replica of the one in the game and it is useful during your play through .

great
I love Ni No Kuni. The story and characters are a bit cliche, but the delivery is excellent so I don't really care. The art and animation is beautiful. The battle system seems simple and yet is surprisingly deep and involved. The music is great, sometimes I like to leave it on just so I can listen to the music. The English VA is also unexpectedly good. I'm so used to being disappointed by English VAs that are super for games that were originally made in Japan, but this game has quite good VAs. And most importantly, the game is fun to play.

Ni no kuni: Wrath of the white witch (Wizard's edition)
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is epic, good for its money value. The book is amazing quality and the plushie is lush. I wish there was a bigger box set with a T-shirt and art cards. I really enjoyed the game, think of it as a Dragon Quest 8 but Ghibli style.

A well polished gem
Has Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch been worth the wait? In a word, yes. For those of us lucky enough to be aware of this game before its release and willing to gamble on another Level 5 epic, we have been rewarded in spectacular fashion. Couple this with the tie in with Studio Ghibli and all I can say is wow! Beautiful graphics, spectacular characterisation and accessible game play all make for a gripping game. But don't let the cartoon graphics fool you, this is a challenging game, so beginners beware! However, practice makes perfect and as you practice the battle techniques you will be rewarded with hard fought progress in the game, which makes it all seem worth it.
