Players make their way to New San Vanelona in this sequel to the back-to-basics skating title from EA.
The original Skate was a breath of fresh air for skating titles, bringing players back to the more natural, down-to-earth style of real-world skating. Players felt in complete control of their skater, pulling off realistic moves with subtle movements of the console’s analogue stick. Skate 2 continues this new tradition, moving players to New San Vanelona, now rebuilt after a disaster reduced it to broken rubble five years ago. Players will need to work in their broken down city to try and kick start their skating career, as well as slowly build up the skate scene so sorely missing.
One of the biggest additions to Skate 2 is the option for players to leap from their skateboards and move about New San Vanelona as they choose, or moves objects around the city. This means players can create their own jump spots and stunts, even sharing them online and creating challenges for others around the globe.
Skate 2 keeps the laid back feel of its prequel, adding a number of fresh and innovative twists to an already unique brand of skating.

An absolutely brilliant game
At first I thought that skate 2 was just going to be just another skateboarding game where you would have to hit buttons to do tricks. It isn't. The sheer control you gain over your player is ridiculous and the flick-it controls with the analogue sticks is so precise, it's unbelievable. The graphics are not the best I have ever seen but they do not need to be; everything else makes up for it. I love this game, it's amazing!
