A Nightmare on Elm Street: Nancy is having nightmares about a frightening, badly-scarred figure who wears a glove with razor-sharp "finger knives." She soon discovers that her friends are having similar dreams. When the kids begin to die, Nancy realizes that she must stay awake to survive. Uncovering the secret identity of the dream killer and his connection with the children of Elm Street, the girl plots to draw him out into the real world.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge: The Grady family, including their teenage son Jesse, moves into a house on Elm Street which has been vacant for some time. Hardly surprising, since it was the same house in which the first Nightmare on Elm Street took place. Ron starts having strange nightmares and finds that Freddy Kruger is using him to commit terrible deeds. It is up to his girlfriend to find some way of stopping Freddy.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors: The third Nightmare continues Freddy's story with the sole survivor of the first movie, Nancy Thompson. Nancy has just accepted a position as a research scientist at a psychiatric institution near the fated house on Elm Street and is working with a group of children who all share nightmares of Freddy. She discovers that one of the children (Kristen) has a special gift which may help them destroy Freddy forever.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master: Following up the previous Nightmare film, dream demon Freddy Krueger is resurrected from his apparent demise, and rapidly tracks down and kills the remainder of the Elm Street kids. However, Kristen (who can draw others into her dreams) wills her special ability to her friend Alice. Alice soon realizes that Freddy is taking advantage of that unknown power to pull a new group of children into his foul domain.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child: Alice, having survived the previous installment of the Nightmare series, finds the deadly dreams of Freddy Krueger starting once again. This time, the taunting murderer is striking through the sleeping mind of Alice's unborn child. His intention is to be "born again" into the real world. The only one who can stop Freddy is his dead mother, but can Alice free her spirit in time to save her own son?

Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare: In part six of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, dream monster Freddy Krueger has finally killed all the children of his hometown, and seeks to escape its confines to hunt fresh prey. To this end, he recruits the aid of his (previously unmentioned) daughter. However, she discovers the demonic origin of her father's powers and meets Dad head-on in a final showdown (originally presented in 3-D).

Wes Craven's New Nightmare: It's nearing the 10th Anniversary of the film 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' and one of the stars, Heather Langenkamp is being scared by a voice on a phone, sounding very similar to the film's villain, Freddy Krueger. When Heather's husband is killed in a car accident and is discovered with slash marks on him, Heather starts to wonder something. Especially when she discovers that Wes Craven is writing another 'Nightmare' film. Soon, she realizes that Freddy has now entered the real world, and the only way to defeat him is to become Nancy Thompson once again.

A Nightmare Delivery

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

As a film fan & long-time satisfied customer who was looking forward to grabbing this one at a decent price (with an added Zavvi discount to boot), I received this 4K Blu-Ray collection with it's personalised cardboard artwork sleeve & 3D glasses both missing. Also, thanks to an unsecure & poor attempt at protective delivery packaging, the box set itself was broken, clearly sat on or mishandled due to inspecting it's condition & sealed quickly in non-retail plastic wrapping. I've seen better condition buys from a second-hand exchange store & hope to get this refunded or exchanged in excellent & complete condition as it is advertised online on other retail sites & unboxing footage.

The ultimate nightmare

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Finally the Elm Street series gets the 4K treatment (minus Freddy v Jason). The first 7 films remastered to 4k, including a couple of unrated cuts - that were previously unavailable in HD. Obviously the first is the best - but 3 & 5 are personal faces also, for me. Great prices for 7 films. A must purchase!
