On initial loading of the disc I had my reservations as the basic title screen appeared to have been taken straight from the DVD version. However, as the Wormwoods walk Matilda from the hospital to the car the colours of their outfits really popped and it kept getting better from there. Really crisp picture throughout and for me, the most enjoyable parts were within the Wormwood’s house as the colours were beautiful and it really showed it off in its full intended glory. The detail and clarity meant I spotted things I’d never noticed before. Very impressed with this transfer because of tue consistency throughout. I managed to get this on a 2 for £40 steelbook offer but personally I would say it is worth the £30 rrp for fans looking to enjoy some nostalgia!

Matilda is a fanastic movie, upgrading to the 4k edition is well worth it. The steelbook has loads of cool details and looks great in addition to my collection.
