David Lynch is a master Director as anyone who knows is diverse filmography will atone to. This 4K edition is amazing really immersing the viewer into Victorian London and the life of those born different. A wonderful upgrade.
Excellent film great 4k release David lynchs clasic tragic tale of the elephant man that is pretty close to the real events despite the elephant man him selfe aprently being more of a character in real life and not as much of a victim and his name wasnt john merrick but josseph But dont let that put you off this is a truly moving film with David lynch still sneaking in his at the time trademark style reminiscent of eraser head like the opening scene and the dream sequance and even the sound design with the opressive sounds of the Victorian era gas lamps being prominent that are reminiscent of the pipes amd steam noises in eraserhead Shot in black and white which gives it a timeless and moody feeling both old but also very modern at the same time A new version of the elephant man is aprently in the works and i wish them luck as this will be a very very tough act to follow
