After finding a ’Dear John’ letter, William (Kyle Brookes) is finding life difficult. Between working as a presenter on a local public access television show and playing the church organ, he is also searching for his missing wife -- unsure whether she has left him for another man or simply gone away to gather her thoughts. Then one day William bumps into Tina (Sophia Leanne Kelly) -- a rough-around-the-edges young woman with her own problems. An unlikely friendship is soon forged as both attempt to get their lives back on track. Trouble is never far away, however, as a dangerous drug dealer is on Tina’s tail, looking for payment of an unpaid debt.
Completed in 2022 after a two-and-a-half-year production -- largely due to the Covid-19 lockdown -- A Light Through Coloured Glass is the winner of over 33 international festival awards. This low-budget, gritty British film by director Mike Clarke is packed with drama, comedy, and memorable scenes.
A random 250 Blu-rays include a postcard signed by Mike Clarke, Kyle Brookes, Sophia Leanne Kelly, and Macaulay Cooper. Region 0 -- plays in every territory.
