Very good movie and the blu-ray is full of extras.
Coming in at a hefty 2hours and 56min this is a superb piece of film making, based on the true life story of Frank Lucas it is riveting and mesmerising to see the 2 main leads Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington portray cop Richie Roberts against gangster Frank Lucas. Excellent quality picture, almost 3 hours of extras and a price to good to be true this is a must for your collection, buy it!!!
American Gangster is a very thrilling and captivating movie.
A no-brainer. The movie itself is just awesome, a must have for everyone who loves gangster movies. The extras are a nice plus so make sure to get the quality of Blu-ray if you have a Blu-ray player.

This is a great crime film with great performances from Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe as crime boss and determined cop. Nice extras but the quality could have been better but at the price I paid this is a minor issue, and its still a fab piece of filmwork from Ridley Scott.
American Gangster is a very good film, and I got it for a total bargain! The disc is packed with extras and you get both the Theatrical and Extended cuts (extended cut is 3 hours long!) too. Well worth a buy and definitely pick it up if you like Casino, Heat, Scarface, Goodfellas, Carlito's Way etc!
What a cracking film!!! If you have about 3 hours to spare...(and you don`t mind a numb bum!!!) certainly watch this!!!! Denzel Washington is a brilliant actor, as it is....but this film is so "bad guy/ good bad guy"!!!! If you don`t love Denzel now, you`ll love him later...Superb!!! WATCH IT!!!!
This is a good solid film and well worth watching. Set in the 1970's the film has a very grey colour tone to it which in my opinion doesnt allow the blu-ray to weave its magic. Like i said a good film, im note sure if worth buying on blu-ray.
