Brilliant film. Saw it years ago when it first came and wasn't that impressed but on a second viewing thought it was great.

I just saw 'Avatar' in my home theatre, and to be completely honest, against all expectations, I was astonished by this movie. James Cameron is definitely the most talented, futuristic director around, and Avatar is the most advanced movie I've ever come across in many aspects. The visuals, the sound, the special effects, and the story-line are all awe-inspiring. It really shows you the furthest limits of the human imagination, and is an absolute masterpiece in movie-making.

Overated with 3D

Basically, the story is simple and straight forward. Taking over a world for resources blah blah... the trend now using CGI is already so common. Adding 3D was a boost as it's a new and in-thing now. This concept has a very strong base for a trilogy but they ruined and ended it so HOLLYWOOD style. Seriously in terms of CGI, Transformers was the top and still is. To blend in CGI so nicely on live action with real environments is the skill. It's easy to create a full CGI world like LOTR. To mention LOTR, it is still the best action adventure Movie ever till date.

A film you will NEVER forget !

Terminator 1 & 2, Aliens, True Lies, Titanic....James Cameron's pedigree is second to non and this movie is his best yet. I think its fair to say that with Avatar Cameron has moved film making on yet another step. I have read negative and blahsay reviews which leave me aghast, where has some peoples imagination gone ? This is a feast on your senses, an extravagansa of special effects, with deep and vivid colours, set to the back drop of a tropical rain forrest which is so realistic you can almost feel the humidity. We watched it in 3D and were blown away. The CGI is sublime, the movie score is awesome, the cast fantastic and the story not over complictaed and although the film is long you never for one moment think it's dragging. In my opinion if you were unlucky enough not to have seen this at the cinema, this is a must buy. If you did see it at the cinema you know you want to watch it again, lets hope its as good on the small screen. PLEASE dont be put off by the boo boys, this is a love story like one you have never seen, I cant uligise enough about it ............ Amazing !!!
