Dinosaur - Amazing CGI

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Dinosaur is one of those early Disney films that tried to change the way we look at cinema and especially with computer generated images. Dinosaur is amazing to look at,m even now all this time after it originally was released. It cleverly mixed amazing CGI characters in a live shot enviroment...meaning that CGI prehistoric monkey type character ran threough and interacted with real forest tree, leaves and even water! I love Dinosaur and it was a great movie for all the family and the story was rather good too. I understand that it was a so so type release and the public sort of had a hard time understanding what Disney were doing as it was such a departure from their normal 2D hand drawn efforts but this was all before the mighty Pixar was on the scene, so I say a big thumbs up for Dinosaur and now its on hi-def Blu Ray it looks amazing! Give Dinosaur a go if you like somehting a little different and marval at the effects and characters as they fight for survival from a true threat to the planet. 8 out of 10.
