You either love or hate this film ! I think it's very clever and that Wil Smith carries the film well. The quality brought to the game with blu-ray is plain to see, the sound and picture quality are incredable and dare i say it too good at times as the cgi becomes more noticable. Well worth watching, the only negative i have is one i read somewhere else lso and that is that the film end arrives very quickly and I thnk it would be better if stretched out some more.
Great picture and sound quality on Blu-ray I don't like hard core horror movies but this movie is mild zombie. It follows Will Smith's character trying to survive against the odds as a lone survivor and trying to find a cure to save humanity. Worth a watch for a bit of escapism as long as you don't analyse the content too much.
Good flick, better disc. I Am Legend is a good thriller that is very strong in the first 2/3 but loses steam in the final act. Will Smith 's performance is fantastic, emotional and intense and it really carries this movie. Unfortunately, this movie changed when ___ died and it went from being a survival film to zombie killing spree and back again, which bothered me. The big deal is the alternate ending, which I prefer to original however they both aren't great, the original ending suits the film more but is a huge downer and this new one is much happier but is kinda ridiculous. I wish there was more back story on the virus as well, you never know why it mutated or how it got so deadly. The PQ is outstanding; clear, vivid and sharp however in the earlier scenes I notice some weird cmaera flares but this isn't a flaw of the PQ. The audio is great but it doesn't really kick up until mid way through. Extras are nice, good BTS. Overall, I Am Legend is a gripping and powerful movie however the last 1/3 seems different than the rest of the film and the disc is awesome, gorgerous PQ and great AQ and excellent extras make IAL a worthy addition to your collection.
This Blu ray comes with two versions of the film, the one you saw in the cinema(Theatrical), and an alternative/director's cut(with a different ending. I've seen both versions and have to say that the alternative/director's cut is better. It makes a lot more sense. The picture and sound are fantastic. Highly recommended.
