This stylish black-comedy thriller stars Ralph Fiennes as Harry, a vicious London crime-boss, who sends his two hit-men to the picturesque Belgian city of Bruges – to lay low and wait for orders. While Ken (Brenden Gleeson) is happy just to sight-see(!), his fast-talking partner, Ray (Colin Farrell ) sets-out for adventure. Before long, Ray is experiencing hilariously surreal encounters with tourists, skinheads, dwarves and prostitutes! When, at last, the call comes from Harry, the fun turns to a life-and-death struggle of darkly comic proportions.

One of the darkest (and funniest) movies I've seen in a while. Be warned - it's pretty violent in places - definitely deserving of its 18 certificate, and I do wonder if I'm perhaps a bad person for enjoying the humour as much as I did ...
In Bruges is one of the best films that I've ever seen. All the characters have a personality, and all of them have to do something in the plot. It's not a typical film, I recommend it for everyone.
In Bruges is a cracking, dark comedy. It's an excellent film from beginning to end.
I have wanted In Bruges for some time and was pleasantly surprised to find it on Zavvi - and at such a great price too. Great value and service.
Had heard a lot about this movie and must admit I loved it. All the characters are really well played, Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell are brilliant together :) I'd highly recommend this movie
When I saw the title of this film and the plot I ignored it at first. More fool me. This is a great film with great performances from all involved. Im not going to say anymore about it but make sure you watch it - its far better than most films trying to cross genres. The blu-ray is definitely better than the DVD with much better definition and HD sound of course. So buy the blu if you can play it.
On the face of it this is a run-of-the-mill comedy thriller set in a european location. However 'In Bruges' shows the competition exactly how it should be done. Each character is well rounded and has all the foibles in order to be believable. Yet this is achieved without having to sacrifice any of the elements which also make it so appealing - the thrills and shocks are exactly that, and when the moments of frequent comedy arrive they are fresh and extremely funny. The situational exchanges between the two complete opposite leads are wonderfully executed. This is a great film which can be enjoyed for both the drama and comedy - as there are equal amounts, but also for the wonderful story and the best acting talents that British cinema has to offer. Highly recommended.
One of those films that can be watched over and over. Fantastic chemistry between Gleeson and Farrell as the hapless hitmen trying to keep themselved amused in Bruges, while Ralph Fiennes is hilarious as their boss. A black comedy that is both dark and funny.
A must see movie - totally hilarious black comedy! which will have you falling from your seat! - fabulous scenery make this movie everything you could ever need in a comedy movie - guarenteed to make even the hard to please - very happy!
