Young Danny Madigan (Austin O'Brien) is a lonely 11-year-old boy who escapes from his bleak reality by watching the action-adventure movies of his favourite film character, Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzenegger). When his best friend, Nick the projectionist, gives him a special ticket to the new Slater film, Danny is magically transported into Jack's world, where the good guys always win.
Danny becomes his helper as Jack battles a trio of nefarious bad guys, Benedict (Charles Dance), Vivaldi (Anthony Quinn) and The Ripper (Tom Noonan). But things get out of hand when Benedict steals Danny's magic ticket stub and transports himself into the real world, where crime can, and often does, pay. Jack and Danny must leave fictional Los Angeles for real-life New York and battle the villains without the aid of movie magic or stuntmen.

A great film, that's been sadly let down by turning up damaged. I find it interesting that despite the boxset being bubble wrapped, with lots of protective packaging in the box, that it's still dented. This says to me that the set was already compromised before being packaged. Sort it out Zavvi, the people who pay your prices deserve it.
I had to cancel the pre-order of just the regular 4k copy when I saw this. Thanks Zavvi!
Great movie love it action and all the way entertaining film, sad the Last Action Hero 4k hd exclusive collector edition steelbook from zavvi is already out of stock hope they bring some more.
Apart from the delay in receiving this item it’s another awesome exclusive from Zavvi , nice solid box with all the trimmings & extras, beautiful steelbook very nice extras and bits of memorabilia , big up to zavvi for making this happen , read a lot of complaints on sites about this item and the price , but if you collect special editions & esp steelbooks this is the ultimate version to have very happy guys Thanks
This film is one of arnies lesser known films but always been one of my favs. Great action(!), tongue in cheek classic. Enjoying a bit of a cult classic status. Another great zavvi limited edition and although a delayed release was worth waiting for.
this is a fantastic blu ray package special features are brilliant audio commentary by the director is worth listening to at least he is honest with the mistakes he made overall this edition is great to have in my collection

Underrated classic in “Last Action Hero” finally gets the 4K release it deserves & in a fantastic special edition bundle. Well worth the money!

Really cool set, especially as a fan of the movie. This was definitely an under appreciated film that meant a lot to me as a kid. Still holds up and I’m surprised they haven’t tried to remake it yet!
