Sadly I missed this in the cinema. I opted for the blu-ray purchase to watch it in high definition possible, as I had heard it was a visual feast. It did not disappoint. This is Wright's visceral love letter to London and Argento. All neon, knives and blood splatter, set in the Big Smoke in the sixties and the current day. Fantastic performances, great music, astounding visual effects. Like Argento's films, the plot is kind of secondary to the spectacle, but is enough to drive the film along, and the spectacle is enough for that to be all it needs to do! Nice selection of extras - director commentary, a few deleted scenes and some nice (if quite short) behind-the-scenes featurettes (amazing to see how some of the in-camera effects were achieved in particular).
