Murder, robbery, police brutality... It’s all in Naked Alibi, the classic film noir starring screen legends Sterling Hayden (Winter Kills) and Gloria Grahame (The Big Heat).
Two-fisted cop Joe Conroy (Hayden) is fired for his conduct whilst investigating Al Willis (Gene Barry, The War of the Worlds), a robbery and murder suspect. Doggedly following the fugitive to Tijuana, Conroy enters into a deadly affair with Willis’ lover, the beautiful nightclub singer Marianna (Grahame).
Directed by Jerry Hopper (The Atomic City) and atmospherically photographed by the great Russell Metty (Madigan), Naked Alibi is a hard-bitten precursor to the ‘maverick cop’ sub-genre.
