A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, Real Steel, stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring.
Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goya) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.
Special Features:

- Making of Metal Valley
- Building the Bots

Real Steel (Single Disc) is a great movie, with amazing service.
Good family movie, I wasn't quite sure what it would be like but we all really enjoyed it. Even the girls! There is more to the story than robots fighting, which was nice. It really is a movie for all ages.
Real Steel (Single Disc) is an excellent film, would recommend to friends.
Real Steel (Single Disc) is an excellent movie, and I'm very pleased with how quick delivery was too.
Set in the near future, where robot boxing is a top sport, a struggling promoter feels he's found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father. A FANTASTIC film that is definitely worth adding to anyone's film collection.
The best film I've seen in a long time and for those who only gave it four stars - what film did you watch? Clearly not this one! A very, very good family film all round. I can't wait for number two!
This is a fantastic film, with brilliant picture quality!
This title lived up to the reviews, so I'm very happy with this purchase.
Like Robots? Like Rocky? Like a good family film? Then this is for you! Sure, it's cheesy. Sure, it's a tad predictable, but because it's so good, who cares? Great CGI, great acting. Loved it!
Good film! Who doesn't like giant robots smashing each other up? Don't get confused though, this is no Transformers! But it does bring a broken family back story to film! This is well worth a view.
