In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years - and it's meant billions for OmniCorp's bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it.
When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman), a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.

Good movie with enought twists and turns to make it different from the original. The original is still superior but this one keeps you entertained from beginning to end.
-no clarence boddicker +fast flow scifi that should that keeps rolling up the (probably award winning) Gary Oldman centered Character+motives drama. & If you're concentrated/have achieved emotional investment, the bit where it shows how much human is left can chill. If it wasn't for the original, (and breaking 'the best villians don't know they're evil' scroll) this would be good on every level. Like Godzilla, if you were disappointed (or even heart-brokenly gutted!) after watching it a cinema it's a faultless rewatch once you're over the legacy failings and are watching for what's good.
Really good film, well worth a watch.
Great special effects, lots of action, well worth a watch. Not as good as the original but still very watchable.
