Teenage social outcast Peter (Andrew Garfield) spends his days trying to unravel the mystery of his own past and win the heart of his high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). A mysterious briefcase belonging to his father, who abandoned him when he was a child, leads Peter to his dad's former partner, Dr. Connors. The discovery of his father's secret will ultimately shape his destiny of becoming "Spider-Man" and bring him face to face with Connors' villainous alter ego, the Lizard.

The Amazing Spider-Man (Includes UltraViolet Copy) is as good as all the other Spiderman movies in my view. It looks perfect on Blu-ray in full HD beauty.
The Amazing Spider-Man is superb
Although this probably is not a popular opinion, I think this movie is the best superhero movie of 2012. When I first saw Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man I was skeptical, but he turned out to be the best Spider-Man yet.
The Amazing Spider-Man is not as good as Spider-Man starring Tobey Maguire, but the visual effects are 10 times better than the original. Still worth having on Blu-ray or DVD!
The Amazing Spider-Man is a fantastic movie in high definition on Blu-ray. The movie is well produced with futuristic technology and is a must watch.

I enjoyed The Amazing Spider-Man. I am a big comic book fan and have read and collected spider-man since I was 8 years old. Going back to the beginning again was not what I originally wanted to hear, but I could understand wanting to go back and redo the story closer to the comic. It's a shame that Peter Parker was still not credited with quite the intellect he has comic wise. In the film he helps Dr Connors with his experiments only because he found his fathers work. Also Peter still does not invent the web. I enjoyed the new actors for the roles and very much liked going back to the original story line of Gwen as his first girlfriend. It's a shame Captain Stacey dies in this film rather than maybe in the next. There's plenty of scope at the end of the film for many story lines to come. Overall the look of the film was great, and the acting was mainly good.
I was Very Skeptical of this Movie when it was announced , as I thought the Toby Maguire Creation of Spiderman film was a pretty good adaptation. I must say though that this Film is a Great improvement and far more in-keeping with the Comic Books, than the Sam Raimi trilogy. even down to the fact that Peter Parker has to Invent his own "Webshooters" rather than have them conveniently fire from his wrists biologically.Also his "Doomed" Romance with Gwen Stacey is essential to the Plot, I won't spoil what happens to her in the future, for anyone unfamiliar with that scenario :) Rhys Ifans is Great as Dr Connors and as the film unfolds you want to learn more about his relationship with OSCORP, while the LIZARD is very well realized, despite his Maw being shorter than it should be. This Movie has a Great Cast and Excellent performances particularly from Andrew Garfield as Spidey, It's a far darker Movie & in some shots Spiderman looks Dark & sinister, which adds to his "Outcast" appeal.The Blu-Ray is an excellent Transfer and an extra disc of Extras is included. Go-on Buy it & don't forget the extra scene after the credits.
