Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds is an unforgettable masterpiece that is considered one of the most terrifying films from the Master of Suspense. When beautiful, blonde Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) travels to Bodega Bay in pursuit of eligible bachelor Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor), she is inexplicably attacked by a seagull.

Buy this while you can, you will not regret it! The 4K picture is amazing, truly unbelievable! Love the steelbook design which compliments the film perfectly.
Have to admit when I ordered this Movie... I was kinda thinking..hmmm 60years on can this be as good a transfer from the 35mm to 4K and the answer was YES. The colours are looking great and have a good depth to them too and the sound is great not missing anything anything... whether its the noise of the Birds...the sound of the water or the children in the playground...everything is great and well worth the buy... Even if you don't have a 4K player or TV ... well dont worry because it comes with the Blu Ray Disc ...which again has transferred effortlessly with everything looking great and sounding great. The cool thing too is you get a cool looking Steelbook to add to your collection. of what will always be a Masterpiece of Movie Making by the Awesome Alfred Hitchcock... one wonders what he would think of the Movie in Blu Ray or 4K.
We can all agree, that “The Birds” is a true classic and Zavvi have done this masterpiece proud with this new and beautifully designed Steelbook. The artwork is simply stunning, I like how the artwork is in the classic style of the 50’s and 60’s movie posters of the time, it’s by far the best Steelbook the film has ever received to date. The film also looks mind blowing in 4K too, with fantastic detail and gorgeous HDR colours, it’s the best this classic has ever looked and a worthy upgrade from the standard HD Blu-Ray. Buy it, you want be disappointed and well done Zavvi.

The case is very nice. I never owned this on Blu-ray so this is a nice upgrade from the DVD
The picture quality of this disc is the best it has ever looked on physical media. It is a very nice looking steelbook at a decent price.
